Spider-Man: No Way Home Has a Near-Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score

Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home opens in theaters with a near-perfect audience score on the review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes.

Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home is a worldwide hit, and not just at the box office. The latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also a hit with both critics and fans, enjoying a near-perfect audience score on the review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes.

At the time of writing, the audience score sits at 99 percent, with many agreeing that Spider-Man: No Way Home is more than another instalment in the MCU franchise and surpasses everything previous films, even those from other franchises, have offered. Similarly, the critic score on Rotten Tomatoes is at 94 percent, with critics praising the film for provided Tom Holland’s Spider-Man with new depth and opening up the franchise to a multitude of exciting stories.

On top of universal critical acclaim, Spider-Man: No Way Home is also a monumental success at the box office, grossing $587.2 million worldwide over its opening weekend, beating the earnings of both Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The film has managed to shatter records despite increasing fear surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. Tom Rothman, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures’ Motion Picture Group stated, “This weekend’s historic Spider-Man: No Way Home results, from all over the world and in the face of many challenges, reaffirm the unmatched cultural impact that exclusive theatrical films can have when they are made and marketed with vision and resolve.”

The pandemic and renewed concerns over its spread recently resulted in the cancelation of a surprise appearance star Tom Holland was scheduled to make at a Spider-Man: No Way Home screening. The cancelation came hours before the appearance was supposed to take place.

In addition to bringing back familiar faces from a number of different franchises, Spider-Man: No Way Home teases the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was reported early on that the upcoming film’s first trailer was attached to No Way Home. The reason for this is reported to be because the film contains spoilers for the Spider-Man film. The trailer for the Doctor Strange sequel reportedly leaked before No Way Home‘s premiere. However, Sony was able to put an end to its circulation.
