AbraxasNovember 4, 2021

Super Mario 3D All-Stars may not be sold digitally anymore, but you can still find physical copies in the wild. If you already have it or plan to get it, a new update launched this week to add support for the new Switch Nintendo 64 controller when playing Super Mario 64.

Now, those who want the really authentic experience will be able to take their All-Stars collection a step closer to the original 1996 entry. Here are the patch notes for the version 1.1.1 update, which went live on November 3:

  • Super Mario 64 now supports the Nintendo Switch Online member exclusive Nintendo 64 Controller (sold separately). Players can now play this title using the same controls as found in the original Nintendo 64 release.

Now all you have to do is find a controller, which is currently a hot ticket item that has restocks planned for 2022.
