PlatinumGames Announces Delay for Sol Cresta Shoot ’em Up

AbraxasNovember 3, 2021

If you had a feeling the November 2 Sol Cresta stream—titled Sol Cresta: Hideki Kamiya’s Very Sorry Stream—would include the announcement of a delay, you nailed it. PlatinumGames‘s chief game designer is indeed very sorry, because the shoot ’em up has been delayed from its planned December 9 release to an as-yet-unannounced date.

According to Kamiya, we should (hopefully) find out what that new date is at the beginning of the new year.

It wasn’t all bad news during the stream. Platinum also shared some new footage and features, including confirmation of the Caravan Mode score attack mode, vertical screen mode, the promised appearance of a ship from previous Cresta games, and a look at the opening movie.

You can check out the full stream below while we wait for a new release date.
