Venom: Let There Be Carnage star Woody Harrelson was reportedly involved in a physical confrontation at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C.
According to the Washington Post, Harrelson struck a man “in self-defense” at the hotel’s rooftop bar. Police say Harrelson — who was at the Watergate while filming HBO’s White House Plumbers — approached an apparently intoxicated man after he took photos of Harrelson’s daughter and asked the man to delete them. This led to an argument and the man eventually lunged at Harrelson and tried to grab his neck. The actor retaliated by punching the man, who then returned to his room. There were multiple witnesses at the time of the incident.
Harrelson is hot on the heels of the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which sees the actor portray the latter of the two eponymous Marvel symbiotes. He also recently discussed another franchise he made his own in Zombieland, which he’s eager to return to.
“I haven’t heard anything about it from many of the creative elements,” Harrelson said in September. “I would love to do it because I just love those guys. That whole group is really… That’s a singularly wonderful, fun, amazingly funny group of people. So what I’m saying is I’m open to it. Ash, if there’s anything you can do to make it happen, I would be most grateful.”
